You dont resurface the heads to remove the remaining head gasket material, you skim them only if they are out of flat/warped. Why would you need cometic head gaskets? Per the fsm your alowed to remove .008 total combined off the heads and block. Unless you overheated bad, chances are you only need to skim the heads(this was the case when i rebuilt my motor). Oem headgaskets are fine and they are only 30$ a piece at czp. You could search the classifieds to find a used oem rod and some exhaust valves. Ive got 8 or 10 used exhaust valves I dont need I could sell you for cheap and im sure someone else has some for sale as well. As for the intake valves the EG stamp is what you want.
